Anti Piracy Laws

Anti piracy laws are pathetic.

Why?

Because at the same time that everyone is so worried about piracy, every store in every nation is selling empty CD's and DVD's. You can buy them at gas stations.

Internet Service Providers are selling high-speed internet everywhere, up to 100MB/s. Who needs a connection like that? I'll tell you who: People that download a lot, that's who !! And are all those empty CD's and DVD's really for storing your holiday photos? Or making backup copies of a CD you just bought?

Or... are they for storing all the illegal stuff you just downloaded off the internet?
Of course they are. Everyone knows that.

Every site has a "download" button thats nice to click on with your new high-speed internet. Why bother going to the movies when you can watch it at the comfort of your own home from a DVD you just bought from the local supermarket. Of course it used to be empty, before you downloaded a movie and burned it on that DVD.

Am i the only one who sees the hipocrisy in this? Piracy is promoted everywhere. Sure.. there's the occasional site here and there that gets closed down to give the impression that it's still widely detested, while the supermarket down the street is making serious money selling DVD-recorders and empty media to record on. All in the name of "making copies for personal use" Yeah right...

That's Pathetic
